Album Notes
Producers include: Dr. Dre, Wyclef Jean, Pras Michel, Jerry Duplessis, Muggs.Engineers include: Richard Huredia, Chris Theis, Phil Blackman, Wyclef Jean, Andy Blakelock."Ghetto Supastar" was nominated for a 1999 Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group. The soundtrack to Warren Beatty's BULWORTH is filled with some of 1998's hottest Hip-Hop and R&B acts. Though the majority of soundtracks feature collaborations just for the sake of it, BULWORTH is stocked with successful, hit-packed joint-ventures, ranging from Dr. Dre & LL Cool J's "Zoom" to "Ghetto Supastar" from Pras Michel (Fugees) featuring Wu Tang's Old Dirty Bastard and introducing Mya. Wu Tangers get plenty of action with "The Chase," featuring RZA, who provides his standard no-nonsense delivery, while Cappadonna makes a strong appearance with "Run."Also bringing the noise is Public Enemy, whose "Kill Em Live" is reminiscent of classic PE creations. KRS-One, Method Man, Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Kam trade verses on the title track with pure mic skills. With such diverse selections, Bulworth's fourteen tracks seep deep into urban artistry by featuring up and comers such as Canibus, Witchdoctor and Black Eyed Peas, while placing veteran talent like B Real (Cypress Hill) and Mack 10 & Ice Cube around them to solidify the disc.
